Problem Statement

Service hours are required for Seattle high school students and so we wanted to enhance their experience by also making a positive impact on socity. We also realized another issue there was among the elderly people of our socity. That it can be difficult for them to perform day-to-day activities such as changing a light bulb. So we set our iSchool capstone project goal to help young students build intergenerational connections as not everyone has this luxury of having family members nearby. The more time young and old people spend together, more both parties benefit.

Our main focus is:

• To provide students with meaningful experiences as they complete their service hours.
• To provide elderly with companionship and opportunities to request aid from those willing to help.
